Harris Toiletries Challenge

From November 2016 through February 2017 we challenged our business units to participate in the Harris Toiletries Challenge. We wanted to give our employees the opportunity to give back to the community by collecting toiletries from their homes or their hotel rooms. At the end of the four months all of the toiletries were donated to nearby shelters to help communities in need.

On any given night, there are approximately 868,067 people experiencing homelessness in North America. Shelters are limited and rely heavily on donations. More often than not, the demand outweighs the supply. Basic personal hygiene becomes a challenge for those in need. We're glad we could help our friends at: Covenant House, Sound Mind Ministries, Bethesda Centre, Central Downtown Basket, Ensley First Baptist, Cedar Valley Friends, Inn from the Cold, The Bedford MacDonald House, Sheppards of Good Hope, 211 Orange county, Denver Rescue Mission, Loaves & Fishes, Bon Acceuil, Fort Collins Rescue, The Samaritan Inn, The Inn Between, Ballard Community Services, Ottawa Mission, Veterans Hospital, Casey House Youth Shelter, Battered Women and Children's Center Trinity Rescue.
