Harris acquires Realtime Information Technology, Inc.

Ottawa, ON, March 17, 2021  – Harris, a global vertical market software provider and acquirer, adds to its education portfolio with the acquisition of Realtime Information Technology, Inc. (Realtime), a US-based education software provider.

Founded in 2001, Realtime provides a comprehensive student information system and special education solutions to New Jersey school districts. Co-founders, Kenton Nice and Larry Ullman, mention, “ Throughout the acquisition process, Harris surpassed our expectations and we’re confident about our decision and the future of Realtime.”

Realtime will join the Harris Education Solutions portfolio (HES), which provides software to students, parents, teachers, and administrators across North America. Mihir Shah, Executive Vice President of HES said, “ We are very excited to continue investing in the education industry as this is our third acquisition in the past few years” adding, “Realtime offers robust products with exceptional customer service and we look forward to continuing their legacy with Harris.”

Realtime will benefit from Harris support, coaching, and best practices and provides Realtime’s customers, employees and products a permanent home.
