June 9, 2017: VICTORIA, BC: The City of Inver Grove Heights, MN, a CityView customer since 2006, is expanding its use of CityView by adding additional solutions to help further reduce paper and manual processes.
Inver Grove Heights, a City of 33,000 in the Minneapolis St. Paul metropolitan area, has been using CityView’s Permits & Inspections for more than a decade. The module has helped the City’s Building department streamline and automate permit approval and issuance. Now the City is looking forward to expanding CityView’s value within the Building department as well as to other departments that track and manage rental and code compliance. Inver Grove Heights inspectors will soon be able to complete inspections directly from the field with CityView Mobile. Citizens will welcome self-service options via the Portal, such as applying for permits, checking on permit status, paying permitting fees, issuing inspections and reviewing results directly from the Web.
The software expansion will allow the City to manage: the new rental ordinance governing their 3,700 rental properties; code enforcement incidents from citizen complaint to case resolution; and the collection of revenues from a centralized location.
“CityView has been very helpful in providing efficient internal operations in building inspection services. We are now looking forward to expanding those operational benefits to the code compliance and rental housing programs as well as improving external customer service,” said Tom Link, Community Development Director for the City.
“We have enjoyed and highly valued our close relationship with the City of Inver Grove Heights over all these years. We’re glad at the opportunity to further partner with the city in the fulfillment of their objectives for facilitating data sharing between departments and with their constituents to streamline operations and enhance service,” said Sean Higgins, Executive Vice President of CityView.
