Harnett County, North Carolina to implement CIS Infinity
April 13, 2017

Lillington, NC and Toronto, ON

The Harnett County Department of Public Utilities (the County) has selected Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced) to deliver CIS Infinity as their new customer information and billing solution.

Over the past decade, the County’s service area has grown significantly and the legacy processes and systems that were once adequate, are not currently meeting the needs of the County.

“The County needed a system that was highly responsive to changing circumstances and that was capable of offering solutions to any business process scenarios of varying magnitude and complexity. CIS Infinity was selected for its scalability, flexibility and its ability to accommodate all of the County’s utility billing processes and needs,” said Steve Ward, Director of Utilities for the County.

Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced notes: “CIS Infinity is highly scalable and flexible. There is no limit to the number of users on the system and the system is optimized to handle databases with millions of records. In addition, CIS Infinity employs sophisticated configuration tools when it comes to rules, rates and actions making it very adaptable when new requirements emerge but also allows the system to be tailored to meet the specific needs of any utility.”

The County is a strategic regional water and wastewater utility that provides service to approximately 125,000 people in Harnett County and surrounding counties.
