City of Fort Wayne, Indiana Completes CIS Infinity Implementation With Advanced
November 17, 2015

Fort Wayne, IN and Toronto, ON

Fort Wayne City Utilities (FWCU) which serves over 100,000 water and sewer customers in and around its municipal limits, implemented CIS Infinity the customer information and billing solution from Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced) to support the operations and management needs of the utility.

FWCU, a department of the City of Fort Wayne, worked closely in collaboration with Advanced to complete the implementation on schedule at the end of June. Advanced provided a dedicated team to the project to ensure the City’s requirements were fulfilled.

To provide more convenience and payment options to its customers, FWCU also implemented Infinity.Link the Advanced online customer self-service portal solution. For automated dispatching of service orders, FWCU is taking advantage of another Advanced solution, Infinity.Mobile.

Further, to enable FWCU to extend its core CIS requirements, CIS Infinity was interfaced to many third-party industry applications.

“Undertaking the CIS Infinity implementation at FWCU was an exciting opportunity for Advanced,” Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President of Advanced commented. “This project highlights how flexible and interoperable our solution is and also how a best-of-breed solution allows a utility to get the exact mix of functionality it requires.”

FWCU’s customer base is comprised of residential, commercial, industrial, governmental, and wholesale customers. The population of the area served by FWCU exceeds 225,000 people. FWCU is governed by a three-member Board of Public Works.
