Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced), proudly announces that the City of Columbia, MO (the City) has selected Advanced’s flagship customer information and billing system, CIS Infinity to replace its legacy solution.
The City of Columbia is a rapidly growing and vibrant college town of approximately 114,000 residents located in central Missouri. The City bills its residents monthly for multiple services including electric, water, sewer and refuse.
The City identified a need to replace its existing customer information and billing system (CIS) as part of its enterprise resource system replacement project. The City conducted a formal request for proposal process in order to find the solution that would best meet the City’s needs. After a comprehensive review which included staff evaluations, site visits and reference checks, City staff recommended Advanced’s CIS Infinity to achieve its CIS objectives.
Tony St. Romaine, Deputy City Manager notes, “We were looking for a CIS product that would make it easier for our customers to obtain information on their account, everything from making payments to viewing consumption data for their water and electric usage. From a staff standpoint, we needed a system that was user friendly, highly configurable, and one which would enhance proficiency and minimize training time for new staff. During our evaluation process, we found CIS Infinity was the right fit.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments, “As a multi-service utility, the City has many complex requirements. CIS Infinity provides the City with the comprehensive functionality they need while ensuring excellent customer service to their citizens. We are very excited to partner with the City”
