Medford, OR and Toronto, ON. March 14, 2012

Medford Water Commission has selected Harris’ Advanced Utility Systems, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc., to implement its customer information system (CIS) and billing application, CIS Infinity.

Serving over 125,000 in population, Medford Water Commission (MWC) is located in southwest Oregon in Rogue Valley and operates and maintains the water system for the City of Medford and the unincorporated community of White City. MWC provides billing and collections services for water and oversees sewer service, street, parks and public safety fees on behalf of the City of Medford.

MWC will replace its existing custom AS/400-based solution that has been in place for over 25 years. In November 2010, MWC issued its request for proposal in search of a new CIS and billing application for water billing and an integrated Financial Information Solution for its finance department. The utility evaluated vendors through a comprehensive procurement process that included on-site software demonstrations and customer site visits.

Advanced’s CIS Infinity was ultimately chosen and will be integrated seamlessly to MWC’s Financial and Asset Management solutions. CIS Infinity allows for a more complete integration between systems and facilitates automation across many areas of water billing such as collections, customer relationship management, security and reporting.

“MWC is an exciting addition to the Advanced family of customers and is our second water utility customer in the state of Oregon. We are confident CIS Infinity will help enhance day-to-day business processes at MWC to benefit its 28,000 water customers. We look forward to a strong business relationship and successful implementation of CIS Infinity for MWC,” states Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced.

Harris’ Advanced kicked off the implementation project at MWC in February.
