Advanced Budget Preparation
Advanced Budget Preparation
is a MicroFund™ add-on module that supports a more detailed budgeting
process than MicroFund™ itself. The primary purpose of the software is
to support the interactive nature of your budgeting process. If you need
to view several iterations of the budget, compare budget figures, and
enter detailed descriptions for each budget request, Advanced Budget Preparation
will save you time and improve the quality of the final budget.
With Advanced Budget Preparation, you can maintain a budget for each step
of the process. Budget phases are determined by you and can include a
departmental request budget, a Budget Officer's budget, council's budget,
preliminary budget, Mayor/Supervisor's budget and an adopted budget. The
software allows you to maintain revisions at each of these phases, and
prepare and present alternative budgets at any level. You may also create
budgets for multiple years without adopting future years.
The multi-user version will allow several individuals to work on the budget
simultaneously. Budget responsibility rules allow accounts, departments
and funds to be accessed only by authorized users. When the final budget
is adopted, the budget information is automatically transferred to MicroFund™.
At that point, the budget is closed and subsequent changes must be made
using the budget revision process.
