Accounts Receivable Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Clerk must be resourceful, inquisitive, self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of handling high work volumes with accuracy during peak periods. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for preparing invoices, managing receivables aging and dealing with customer inquiries.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS

A. Reports to: Corporate Controller

B. Interrelationships: Work with the Finance and Administration team, develop relationships with customers, interact regularly with Support Services, Research & Development, Professional Services, and Sales & Marketing.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing daily cash deposits.
  • Updating accounts receivable ledger daily with payments received.
  • Assisting in the preparation of various accounts receivable reports and analysis.
  • Filing check stubs and corresponding invoices in customer files.
  • Preparing customer invoices.
  • Proactively making collection phone calls.
  • Responding to customer invoice inquiries.
  • Providing support to the Corporate Controller and CFO as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Working toward, or completed, post secondary education with emphasis on Accounting.
  • Experience with Great Plains an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
